  • Apple slices with (all natural) almond butter

  • Hummus and veggies

  • Greek yogurt with fruit or sliced almonds

  • Light string cheese & cuties

  • Almonds, walnuts, cashews

  • Celery topped with almond or peanut butter*  (top with raisens for "ants on a log")

  • Core and cut an apple or pear in half, sprinkle with cinnamon, microwave for one minute

  • 1 cup cottage cheese with 1 tbsp salsa

  • Sliced tomatoes, light mozzarella cheese, and basil sprinkled with olive oil and balsamic vinegarette

  • Hard boiled egg, one slice of turkey meat, 1/2 avocado on toasted multi-grain piece of bread

  • Air popped popcorn (Whirley Pop is a GREAT stovetop popper!)

  • Banana split: Slice one banana in half, top with one cup cottage cheese, two tbsp low sugar stawberry jam (Trader Joe's has an excellent organic one) and sliced almonds

  • Baby cheese and an orange

  • Four slices of turkey meat with mustard (rolled), 8 almonds, piece of fruit

  • Peel a banana, cover with Greek yogurt, roll in natural granola and freeze

  • Stuff  a whole-wheat pita pocket with ricotta cheese and Granny Smith apple slices (add a dash of cinnamon)

  • Dip an apple into Greek yogurt with sliced almonds

  • Snack kabob: low-fat cubed cheese, grapes on a pretzel stick

  • Banana with natural almond butter

* Nut butters should ONLY contain one to two ingredients: the type of nut (peanut, almond, cashew) and sea salt. Period. That's it. It will have oil on top when you open it, but don't freak out. Just stir well and pop in the fridge. Your kids will be none the wiser! P.S. Trader Joe's offers excellent options!
